Mallorca’s Pretty Bizaare Trees

Most folks are proclaimed tree lovers, and I’m no exception.  Not only Palm trees grow here… but….well, you’ll see. I never expected to see so many wacky looking trees on the island. You could say I’ve going berserk over the bizarre.

Mallorca is famous for its almonds…and naturally the Almond trees.  Almond cake is THE cake of Mallorca, and it’s truly delicious.  Almond trees are pretty… the most bizarre trees are the Olive trees .… each one a unique piece of modern art. Take a look at the ones that caught my eye… and my camera.

As a child I used to love to climb our huge pine tree in our backyard, so I guess I’m partial to pine trees. What about you? Do you have a favorite tree?

  1. Great photos, Angelika. Mallorca looks amazing! I spent a lot of time in Southern California when my parents lived there and love the Palm trees, especially! ♥

  2. This is the first I’ve seen your blog. Wow. I looked at the trees and can’t believe they’re all in the same town. Magnificent. You’re so gifted. Also, I read all of your books, but especially loved your fiction book. It was such fast paced reading. I also enjoyed your books on eldercare. I thought of you caring for your mom as I was reading. Looks like you’re doing well and life is good. Peace.

  3. Dotsie, I’m delighted to see you visited my blog. And you read all my books? Wow… I can’t wipe the grin off my face. Thank you. I’m on a roll with my new novel. The story takes place on an island, so I sure have a lot of inspiration here on Mallorca. How sweet of you to remember how I cared for my Mom. I hope you are doing well and your family too. I would love for us to keep in contact. Peace and Blessing to you too.

  4. Debbie, I think southern California and Mallorca have a lot of similarities… other than it’s not as dry here. The vegetation is truly amazing…. I can’t wait to see your photos when you are on your cruise! 🙂

  5. As always, fantastic pics!

I loved palm trees ever since I moved to Cali in 1980. I never get tired of them. And orange trees? This is citrus season here too, and the air is thick with the smell of orange blossoms. The strangest tree I ever saw was the strangler fig tree in Australia.
